Published weekly from June 15, 1885 in Braunschweig. First volume - in orginal considered as the rarity of highest level - is in fact not a reprint: The original is handwritten in the Old German cursive writing, using handcolored diagrams and mimeographed. The volume of 1885 could not be reprinted to a reasonable standard. Thanks to Dr. R. Binnewirtz and Dr. M. Negele it has been transcribed in a printed form. Since 1886 is the magazine printed. The content are games, problems and news. 4 volumes have been issued with title Die Bruederschaft, since 1889 is the title changed to Deutsches Wochenschach and being one of the best magazines of the time, it run till 1925
