Main source of information about chess history of Sobeslav were two handwritten volumes - Pametni kniha (Commemorative book), written in 1922 - 1928 by club founder Frantisek Ctibor and Kronika sobeslavskeho sachu (Chronicle of Sobeslav chess), written between 1929-1987 by Emil Repka. The book is without games. The lists of all Sobeslav players during the time, club champions, and name index in the end. Low circulation of 100 copies (confirmed by publisher) but this is not stated in the book.
