(In English known as Chess Secrets). Edward Lasker, 1885-1981, German-American master, was one of the best US players in the first half of 20th century. He won 5x US Open championship between 1916-1921, played in the super tournament New York 1924. His Queen sacrifice against Sir George Thomas from 1912 where Black King had to go from g8 to g1, is part of almost all manuals of combinations. The book contains autobiography, authors remembrances and 77 deeply annotated games, mostly his own. Index of games in the end.
