Samuel Lipschutz (1863-1905), one of the leading American players of the late 19th century, USA champion 1892-1895. Born in Ungvar (today Ukraine), he emigrated to the United States in 1880. His first name is sometimes given as Samuel, sometimes as Solomon or Simon, his surname is also written in several ways. The booklet contains 96 annotated games, short biography, career record.
