Title: Anti-Sicilians. A Guide for Black |
|
What to do when White avoids the Open Sicilian (with 3.d2-d4 and next Nxd4)? This is the theme of that book. Author says in the foreword: The first thing to keep in mind is that Anti-Sicilians do not bring an opening advantage for White. The book covers both lines with deviations in the Whites second move as 2.c3, (2.Nc3, 2.f4, 2.b3 etc.) and in the third move, as 2.Nf3 d6 3.c3 (3.Bc4), or 2.Nf3 e6 3.b3 (3.c4, 3.d3, 3.Nc3), or 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.b3 (3.Nc3, 3.d3). Separate chapter is devoted to 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Dxd4 and about 50 pages is devoted to the Bb5-complex. A sample from the book is available on publishers website gambitbooks.com
