Title: The Sicilian Taimanov: Move by Move |
|
The Sicilian Taimanov arises after 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 e6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nc6 and then usually 5.Nc3 Qc7. The author, who played the Taimanov for more than 15 years, analyzes the line from Black’s point of view. Material is divided into several chapters: the classic 6.Be2, complex with Be3 and Bd3, English Attack 6.Be3 followed by Qd2 and other moves like 6.f4 or 6.g3. Also lines after 5.Nb5 d6 6.c4 and other White possibilities in the 5th and 6th moves are examined. The book contains both analysis and word explanations based on question-and-answer format.
