In this book, GM Williams examines the Classical Dutch (=with e7-e6) in great depth. He also presents a complete repertoire for Black with the Dutch Defence, which is based on his own repertoire he has used successfully at grandmaster level for many years. About a hlaf of the book examines lines with g3 and Bg2: 1.d4 f5 2.g3 e6 3.Bg2 Nf6 4.Nf3 Be7 5.0-0 0-0 6.c4 d6 7.Nc3, and then 7..a5, as well as 7..Qe8, 7..Ne4, 7..Nc6 etc. Also sidelines from the 3rd move are analysed. The other chapters are on the lines with 2.c4 (without g3), sidelines in the 2nd move of White - 2.h3, 2.e4, 2.Bg5, 2.g4, 2.Nc3 etc. The final chapters deal with openings 1.Nc3 f5 and 1.c4 f5.
