The Veresov opening is characterized by 1.d4 d5 2.Nc3 Nf6 3.Bg5. The main line 3..Nbd7 is examined on ca 85 pages - author analyzes 4.Qd3, 4.e3 ana also 4.f3. Separate chapters deal with 3..c6 and 3..Bf5. The less common lines are tested, too - 3..c5, 3..Ne4, 3..h6 etc. Author analyzes also 3.Bf4 on ca 30 pages as an alternative. Indexes of variants and annotated games (55 in all) in the end. IM Jimmy Liew is a two-time Malaysian Champion. He has the Veresov system in his repertoire for many years.
