Beating Minor Openings offers a repertoire for Black against every sensible first move apart from 1.d4 and 1.e4. The most critical moves covered are 1.c4 and 1.Nf3. The English 1.c4 e5 is analyzed on 150 pages. Against the Reti author analyzes 2 lines: 1.Nf3 d5 (ca 120p), and 1.Nf3 Nf6, where author examines 2 possibilities again - with fianchetto b6, Sb7 (ca 70s) and with g6, Sg7 (ca 110p). The other openings are analyzed, too - 1.f4, 1.g3, 1.b3 etc. Victor Mikhalevski is strong GM, the reigning Israeli Champion and is renowned as a leading theoretician.
