The book contains 200 problems by various authors, with the weaker side's King in the initial position in the corner. The book was originally published in 1905 in French in Paris as part of the well-known Christmas Series. It was published by Numa Preti under the title Roi Accule aux angles. This edition has been edited by Carsten Hansen: the book has been translated into English and the old descriptive notation has been converted to today's algebraic notation. Also, the correctness of all the problems has been checked by computer.
