Title: KGB igraet v shakhmaty |
|
(KGB Plays Chess). The book with preface of Boris Gulko and epilogue of Viktor Korchnoi tells about an influence of the KGB on a chess life in thre USSR. The other authors of the book are V. K. Popov (former KGB-collaborator) and J. G. Felstinski (doctor of historical sciences). Boris Gulko, former USSR champion who emigrated to the USA writes about his experience with the KGB in a separate chapter. The book describes - among others - stories of Boris Spasski, Viktor Korchnoi, Garri Kasparov, and of Anatoli Karpov, who was - as Gulko writes in a foreword - on other side of the political barricade. The book is with no games.
