Title: Recognizing Your Opponent's Resources |
|
The main theme of this work is to learn how your opponent thinks, what he has in mind, which are his plans and generally, to take a look on the position from his point of view. The book is divided into 4 main chapters: 1. Pay Attention to Your Opponent’s Resources; 2. The Process of Elimination; 3. Traps; 4. Prophylactic Thinking. Each chapter contains theoretical explanation and many samples with solutions, annotated in great detail. Mark Dvoretski presents samples from his own card-index file, which he uses for trainings of his sudents - it means that most diagrams are different from those published in his former books. The book is intended for intermediate to advanced players.
