It contains Winawer's chess biography and his participation in particular tournaments. Grigori Bogdanovich is author of the second part - it contains 71 in detail annotated games and presents Winawer's playing style. Accompanied by many interesting photos, tournament crosstables, indexes at the end. Simon Winawer, 1838-1919, was one of world top players in 1860s-1880s. He won German congress in Nuremburg 1883, Vienna tournament 1882 (together with Steinitz), was second in his first international tournament in Paris 1867 etc.
