As the subtitle of the book, the author is more concerned with strategic ideas and plans, typical positions, move-orders, as well as typical tactics, combinations and endgames, than with analyses of specific variants. The book contains, among other things, 45 deeply annotated games, 48 exercises, indexes of names and variants. The book is written more for the White repertoire, but can be useful for both sides.
