Title: Winning - paperback |
|
In the book, Grandmaster Nigel Short describes eight of his most important tournament victories and how they came about. All his games from these tournaments are also included, about 80 games in total, with his own detailed commentaries in the form of both analysis and verbal explanations. In addition, each game includes a diagram after every few moves, so the book could be read without a chessboard. The list of tournaments can be found in picture 2. Name index, indexes of opponents and openings. English GM Nigel Short was one of the most successful chess players of the 1980s and 1990s and was still in the top 100 well into his 50s. The peak of his career came in 1993, when he played for the World Championship in a match against Garry Kasparov. Further information about the book is available at qualitychess.co.uk.
