The book on technique in chess is based on Dvoretsky's articles and concepts, most of which have not been published in book form before. The material was selected together with Mark Dvoretsky's son and compiled by his most famous student Artur Yusupov, at his time a top player in the world. Yusupov is also respected as a top trainer (among others, he is the author of the nine-part series Build Up Your Chess 1-3, Boost Your Chess 1-3 and Chess Evolution 1-3). The book contains a theoretical part with an explanation, followed by 102 practice positions, which increase in difficulty. There are positions from the opening, middlegame, and especially the endgame – not only from practical games but also from various studies. All positions are analysed and explained in detail. Pictures 2-3 show contents of the book.
