In the book, intended for Black repertoire, the author discusses unusual and even extravagant openings that are related to the structures of Modern Benoni. These include, among others, the Vulture (1 d4 Nf6 2 c4 c5 3 d5 Ne4), the Clarendon Court (1 d4 c5 2 d5 f5) and the Snake Benoni (1 d4 Nf6 2 c4 c5 3 d5 e6 4 Nc3 exd5 5 cxd5 Bd6!?). Other openings include The Modern Benoni (1 d4 g6 2 c4 Bg7 3 Nc3 c5 4 d5 Bxc3+!?) and The Old Benoni (1.d4 c5 2.d5 e5). Some of these openings are also used by strong players - by Nakamura, for example - especially in rapid and blitz games. Although in all these variations Black has to make positional concessions, their supporters believe that the dynamism, and chaos they bring to the position compensate for this lack.
