Information about the USSR championships (including semi-finals), women, juniors, team events, chess in individual Soviet republics, in the army, in hospitals, etc. A separate section, about 100 pages, is devoted to Russia (Russian part of the USSR), including information on Moscow, Leningrad and about 40 Russian counties and regions. There are annotated games in the book, but there are not many of them. Instead, the author emphasizes bringing as much information as possible. Much of this has not yet been published in a book form. Accompanied with many illustrations and photographs from contemporary sources, these are sometimes of lower quality.
