Accompanied with many illustrations and photos from contemporary sources, these are sometimes of lower quality. Contains only practical chess; correspondence or composition chess is not here. This is the author's severalth book on the history of chess in the USSR. The previous volumes were devoted to 1945, 1946, 1949 and 1950.
