The book, which is intended for intermediate and stronger chess players, is devoted to Pawn endgames. The author does not deal with theoretical positions in the book, but discusses various principles and ideas in Pawn endgames, always with detailed explanations and many diagrams. The examples analyzed are from practical games (as in picture 4), sometimes also from studies. IM Michal Konopka, one of the best Czech players in his time, has also been a successful coach throughout his career - Michal cooperated with GMs Viktor Laznicka, David Navara, was several time trainer of Czech teams in Olympiads or European team championships.
