(If I am lucky). Vlastimil Hort, born 1944, is one of the strongest Czech / Czechoslovak chess players in the history. He was one of the wrold's best players in 1970s. The book brings Hort's autobiography and remembrances about the beginnings in his hometown Kladno, about Czech masters like Oldrich Duras or Karel Opocensky as well as about his famous contemporaries Fischer, Smyslov, Spassky and others. He describes the atmosphere of the famous chess Cafe U Novaku in Prague at Wenceslas Square. Vlastimil Hort played successfully in many tournaments and represented Czechoslovakia at the Chess Olympiads, in 1985 he emigrated to Germany. In the book, he writes about the reasons why he did it, he writes also about the current political situation. The book does not contain games.
