Complete volume, nos. 1-52 + nos. 14a-20a; 1938/39: 576p = nos. 1-49; 193/:40: (4) = title/index + 488p = nos.1-45; 1940/41: 320p = nos.1-26, title/index not issued; 1941/42: 264p = nos. 1-26, title/index not issued; 1942: 72p = nos. 1-8, title/index not issued; The title pages of the first three volumes were probably published only for copies in the original publisher's bindings, they are not here. The Registers of the first two volumes are present, but there is no Registers of the 3rd volume - this is either missing or was also published only for volumes in publisher's bindings. Otherwise, all volumes are complete, all the volumes in loose issues are with covers. The covers in volumes 1-4 are not bound in. Condition of bound volumes is Good: covers somewhat bent, edges and corners a little/somewhat rubbed, most issues have vertical centre fold as usual for this magazine, paper normally browned by age, in text OK. Volumes 5 and 6 in loose issues are Good, the last volume 1942 is Fair. (Published weekly, later fortnightly in Amsterdam in 1936/37-1942, size ca 27 cm. The last issue was 8/1942. 2x real photo). 1925: 288 pages; 1926: 288 pages; 1927: 288 pages. 1,740 grams. Uniform contemporary cloth bindings, spines lettered. Ca 23 cm. All volumes are complete, they were checked page by page. No title/index pages were published in these years, nor any plates. The front cover of issue 1 is bound at the beginning of each volume, otherwise the covers are not bound in. Good to very good: light general signs of use, text is okay with no writings. The Schackvarlden was a monthly magazine that run from November 1923 to December 1945.
