In addition, half of these games are also annotated by top Czech and Slovak players such as Navara, Ftacnik, Hracek, Stohl and others. A separate chapter, written by Robert Cvek, covers in about 50 pages the openings, which GM Hort had in his repertoire. 38 tournament crosstables, a few photos in text, conclusion by Jan Plachetka, several indexes. Vlastimil Hort, born 1944, 6 times champion of Czechoslovakia and 3 times champion of West Germany, in the second half of the sixties and in the seventies was one of the best players in the world. He emigrated to Germany after the 1985 Sousse Interzonal Tournament, where he now lives, but returns to the Czech Republic regularly. He has played in many Olympiads, including Luzern 1982, where he played on the First board and Czechoslovakia finished second.
