The Fifth edition of Encyclopedia B is so revised and expanded that it comes in two volumes. In this second part, variants of the Sicilian defence are discussed, where Black chooses systems with d7-d6, for example after 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3: Richter–Rauzer Attack (5..Nc6 6.Bg5, B60-B69), Dragon (5..g6, B70-79), Scheveningen (5..e6, B80-89), Najdorf (5..a6, B90-99) and also 4.Qxd4 and other sidelines. The first volume contains the other Sicilians and openings where White begins 1.e4 and Black replies other moves than 1..e6 or 1..e5, for example Caro-Kann, Scandinavian, Pirc, Alekhine etc.
