The front outer joint is torn at the bottom but binding is holding well. Internally clean and with no writings, except minor pencil ticks in the heading of the games, which could be erased. (Probably the best book on Adolf Anderssen, considered as the world best chess player in 1851-57 and 1861-67. Biography and complete Anderssen's chess career from 1844 through 1878: 751 annotated games, a few articles at the end, 80 Anderssen's problems with solutions and 36 game fragments. 2x real photo). Good minus / dust jacket not issued: outer hinge ca 3 cm torn at the top. There are dark spaces at the top of spine and covers - someone tried to fix the tear with a tape that was later removed. Spine is a little browned by age. Otherwise the book is OK, pages are clean with no writings. (Probably the best book on Adolf Anderssen, considered as the world best chess player in 1851-57 and 1861-67.
